Thengal Mansion is a majestic mansion made in 1929 in Jorhat town. Its name has been written in the annals of history because on twelfth August 1935, the first daily paper in the Assamese dialect, ‘Dainik Batori’ was imprinted from here. There are 5 double rooms at Thengal Manor House. The stylistic layout of the house is come alive with its antique furniture and different artifacts. The Barooahs, popular tea grower of Assam and the proprietors of Thengal Mansion have opened this place to the travelers after coverting it into a heritage hotel.
